This huge garden in Bearsden requires year round care to ensure it stays at it's best. The garden includes a woodland area, rockeries, various hidden corners, masses of flowerbeds, a tarmac driveway, and a system of 8 large compost heaps meaning that every last bit of garden waste is recycled. The extensive lawn area also requires careful maintenance to keep it at it's best. The garden is a constantly rewarding one and is at it's glorious best with carpets of crocus in the spring, and with myriad colourful blooms in the height of summer.

This extensive site in Bearsden is regularly maintained by Thomas Angel Gardens. Construction of the gravel footpath in the secret garden was a project completed by Thomas in 2006, and the rest of the time in the garden is spent keeping on top of weeds, pruning and generally caring for this terrific space.

This site in Milngavie started out as steep bank of earth next to an outdoor seating area. The client wanted to create a feeling of space that previously had been lacking due to the mass of clay that dominated the area. The project, designed, constructed and planted by Thomas Angel Gardens, was completed over a short time and comprises a terraced alpine-style rockery. The terracing was required to prevent earth slipping onto the seating area below. Conditioner, compost and turkey grit were used to improve the soil. A weed suppressing membrane was laid to reduce further maintenance.

This lawn replaced a grass area that had been ruined by having builders' materials left on it. A boggy area that had been a problem for years was fixed up with the installation of a straightforward old-style soak-away - this has already been put to the test by numerous Scottish cloudbursts!

The owners of this beautiful and natural garden, originally designed by a reputable garden designer from Sussex, have trusted Thomas Angel Gardens with the maintenance and general care of this precious site. Work includes maintenance of the large and highly successful compost heap! Construction projects include the footpath in one of the many secret pathways that weave between established trees and rare shrubs.

This Japanese style garden is maintained by Thomas Angel Gardens. Most of the work involves weeding, pruning and general maintenance. The more conventional front garden requires mowing, hedge trimming (beech, honeysuckle and privet!) and other general maintenance tasks.

This site in Bearsden was suffering from a horestail infestation and a general slippage of the clay soil onto the lawn beneath. The site was terraced, the soil improved, and stones already in the garden were arranged in a natural manner to complement the rustic feel of the site. General maintenance of this large garden is also looked after by Thomas Angel Gardens.
